An Update For Our Followers
Hello to all our Bloody Mary enthusiasts!
What a long, strange year it’s been. We’ve been locked down and homebound, drinking Bloodies of our own making because we didn’t have anywhere to go.
Eventually, we got a few Bloodies-to-go from our local bars, but it just wasn’t the same. We loved supporting our local businesses, but WiscoMaryMJ and WiscoMaryChristin had cabin fever!
Now, the cases of COVID-19 are declining, and our state of Wisconsin is slowly opening up again for tourism. That means that we can resume our Bloody Adventures! We can’t wait! We’ve been updating and adding to our WiscoMary website in the interim, and meeting (both virtually and in-person) with lots of new people, so we will be adding them, slowly but surely, to this site.
Last weekend, on May 15th, WiscoMaryMJ made a foray out into the world via a short trip down to the Racine Zoo for Bloody Mary Fest. She partied with people and animals! How fun! She connected with lots of businesses in the area, and of course, drank Bloody Marys!
On her pre-Fest foray, the Friday before, WiscoMaryMJ made a quick run down to Racine to visit a few of the Fest participants beforehand, as well as to check out the Racine Zoo itself to settle logistics and map out a space for our WiscoMary booth.
Her first stop was at Buddy’s Sports Grill. Buddy’s is a bar, and also a golf and driving range. They’re known for their Bloodies, and she had a nice talk with Stan, the General Manager. Although she didn’t try a Bloody on this occasion, she made plans to meet again at the Fest.
Next, WiscoMaryMJ checked out The Foxhole Lounge. It used to be a VFW Hall, and now it’s a museum for veterans. She tried a Bloody there, and absolutely loved that it came with it’s own tiny bottle of Tabasco Sauce. How fun!
Then she was on to the next place. Marci’s on Main is a cool, Western-themed bar on Main Street, as the name implies, with a very strong local following. They are famous for serving loaded Bloody Marys on their Sunday Fundays, when they open for breakfast.
So, then came the day of the sold-our Racine Bloody Mary Fest. WiscoMaryMJ set up the booth, but also found time to meet with the other participants. She had lots of fun meeting Bloody Mary enthusiasts. The booth had a large banner and the people who photographed themselves with it and tagged WiscoMary on their Social Media posts were rewarded with a promotional exclusive WiscoMary water bottle! WiscoMaryMJ was also pleased to reacquaint herself with LeRoy Butler, who was there promoting his Leap Vodka brand.
What a wonderful day! It was great to see and meet everyone, and it was a perfect event to kick off our long Summer WiscoMary It’s A Bloody Adventure shenanigans!
Here we go!
Cheers!
